Potsdam, April 05, 2016
With the introduction of a new ANSYS pay-per-use licensing model for CAE simulation software, the cooperation between CAE as a Service provider, CPU 24/7 and ANSYS has reached the next stage.
These ANSYS Elastic Licensing Units ensure almost unlimited flexibility in the simulation of complex tasks in Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) to companies and research institutions worldwide. Using this new licensing model, CPU 24/7 customers are able to situationally adjust license usage to changing project requirements, e.g. capacity utilisation.
In addition to traditional leasing, paid-up models and cloud solutions, ANSYS Elastic Licensing Units are the first CAE licensing standard solutions offering hourly-based access to the full range of ANSYS software in one single license.
This allows customers to adjust the use of licenses according to their respective workloads. Besides, development teams are able to perform on-demand usage during peak periods. CPU 24/7 is Cloud Hosting Partner of ANSYS Elastic Licensing Units from the very start. Thus, Potsdam CAE as a Service expert is one of the Cloud Hosting Partners to enable an easy access to ANSYS multiplatform solutions to its customers.
All existing licensing restrictions can be removed and adjusted with immediate effect. This also applies to previous on-premise and paid-up licenses.
Daniel Gülzow, CPU 24/7 states: “Security, performance and flexibility in CAE are key demands of our customers. As an on-demand service provider for high-performance computing, we assure safety and performance through physically provided HPC servers in our own, certified data center. By means of the new ANSYS license standard, the software technology can be now applied in a very flexible and dynamic way, optimally serving the demands of engineers and developers. For many of the companies already using ANSYS, the use of our CAE as a Service solution will make business life even more practical and easier.”
CPU 24/7 integrates ANSYS Elastic Licensing Units for customers upon request and in coordination with ANSYS.
